Leah Rourke - Window Treatment Expert

Hi, I’m Leah Rourke. Born in Haida Gwaii, and raised on the west coast of BC, I had an early admiration for nature. My family and I enjoy spending as much time outdoors as we can, and when we aren’t adventuring, camping or fishing, we are creating amazing food together.

Interior Design found me in 2001 when I enrolled in University and I fell in love with the diversity that being a designer brings, and I love problem solving. Through my experience as an interior designer over the past 20 years, I have become a window covering expert. That drove my decision to focus all of our energy on providing our clients with the best products and services to solve their window covering needs. By specializing in one area, we are able to provide our clients with an unrivaled experience.

We are a 100% locally owned and operated family business (my husband Chad is the very experienced installer). Even Chad’s sister Tanza has joined the Relish Team to provide top-notch customer service all the way through the process! We care about our clients, and we care about our reputation.

Motorization and home automation for blinds, drapes, awnings and other window coverings is where I really shine, and I look forward to putting your new motorized shades to work for you!

Chad Mergaert - Installation Expert

Chad Mergaert was born on Quadra Island, and raised in Campbell River. His admiration for our town is unprecedented and he has raised 2 beautiful daughters here. Chad’s background is diverse and deeply rooted in the construction and development industry. Specifically his experience hanging doors and as a custom cabinetry installer have helped shape him as the window covering installer he is today.

Measuring for, and installing custom window coverings require a much more detailed process than just hanging curtains or installing some venetian blinds. Chad takes pride in perfection, and his attention to detail does not go unnoticed by our clients.

Creating the detailed templates required for specialty shaped shutters or custom bent drapery track in a bay window are an art form in themselves. Designing custom metal brackets to install patio shades on an inside corner, or safely and securely mount a several hundred pound awning to a cottage, are just a couple of examples of how we go above and beyond to find the perfect solution for your home or business.
